96 What Voice Do You Trust? Mindfulness for Soul-Level Clarity

healing struggle Jun 21, 2025

Have you ever felt like there were twelve different voices arguing in your head, and none of them were saying the same thing? Fear wants one thing. Desire wants another. Your childhood beliefs whisper something completely outdated, while your soul stands quietly at the center—waiting.

This swirl of internal noise is more common than we admit. And it’s exhausting.

In times like this, we need to step back—not to escape the chaos, but to see through it. We need to remember that not all inner voices are created equal. Some are emotional reactions. Some are cultural echoes. Some are wild little puppies, tumbling over one another, yapping for attention. And some… are sacred.

The voice you want to trust? That’s the quiet one beneath the chatter. The one aligned with your core values. Your intuitive wisdom. Your soul.

A Mindfulness Practice: Witnessing the Mind’s Struggle

This simple 13-minute practice can help bring clarity:

  1. Find Stillness.
Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Let your breath move naturally, slowly anchoring yourself into the body. Feel your feet on the floor. Let your shoulders soften.
  2. Observe the Noise.
Instead of resisting your thoughts, allow them to parade by like those cute-but-chaotic puppies. Don’t pet them. Don’t chase them. Just watch. Notice what voices show up. Label them gently: “Worry.” “Desire.” “Judgment.” “Confusion.”
  3. Ask: What is the conflict?
Bring to mind a current decision or inner struggle. Instead of asking “Why is this happening?” ask:
“What values or feelings are in conflict here?”
You’ll start to notice that some voices are louder—but less wise. Some are reactive. Others are rooted in old conditioning.
  4. Listen to your body.
Your body will often tell you the truth. Place your hand over your heart or belly and ask, “What do I know is true here?”
Wait. Don’t rush. Truth rarely shouts.
  5. Take aligned action.
If clarity arrives—even a sliver—take one small action. Call the friend. Write the email. Make the appointment. Movement invites more clarity.

Final Thought:

The inner voice you can trust is the one that aligns with your peace, not your panic. It's the one that doesn’t scream for attention, but sits with you quietly, waiting to be noticed.

When you learn to trust that voice, you stop reacting and start responding from your soul.

And when that happens? Miracles follow.

With love and inner peace, ahhh…
