88 Finding Your Voice: The Sacred Doorway Into the Self

There’s an ache within each of us—a holy ache wrapped in curiosity. It says: “Who am I really?”

And no matter how spiritually savvy or soulfully seasoned you are, the search continues.

The journey of finding yourself is not about performance. It’s about presence.

From the moment we’re born, we rely on others. We are shaped and molded—some lovingly, others not so much. But the imprint remains. Eventually, we start asking the more profound questions:

“What do I love?” “What repels me?” “Where do I feel like myself in my body?”

And these questions? They’re not surface fluff. They are sacred.

Your likes and dislikes are not trivial—they’re trail markers.
When we pay attention to what comforts us, what makes us recoil, what lifts our heart—these become signposts pointing to our soul. This is the real work. This is the art of returning to yourself.

Listen to the podcast, as from an energy medicine perspective, I guide you through a simple chakra-based awareness:

  • Third chakra (solar plexus): How do I feel?
  • First chakra (root): Am I safe? Am I not safe?
  • Second chakra (sacral): Am I ready to create, connect, and move forward?

Each level invites a decision, a breath, a pause. You don’t bulldoze through the soul. You witness it.

Practice #1: Soul Sensations
Ask yourself: “Where in my body do I feel most like myself?”

Sit with it.
Breathe there.
Begin your dialogue.
This is where your soul hides in plain sight.

Practice #2: Start a journal––My Soul’s Clues Journal

Keep a log of what stirs you—a song lyric, a symbol, a scent, a hawk circling above. Write it in your phone’s notes or a little notebook. Revisit it often. This is how you recognize your deepest voice when it softly calls again.

The Soul Speaks in Symbols
Miracles don’t need trumpets. They arrive as pennies, dimes, tears, or the laughter of someone you love. Don’t explain these away—embrace them.

And perfection? It’s not the goal. Devotion is.
True devotion is gentle. It’s that cherry blossom moment when you see everything is already whole. It’s not about getting it “right.” It’s about aligning with your heart, your life, and the quiet clarity inside you.

So today, just sit with yourself. Not to fix. Not to judge. But to love and listen.

Because the soul doesn’t yell, she waits, like a wise mother, for her child to return.

And when you find her?
She’s not a stranger.
She’s been waiting.
And she’s so glad you came back.

XO,
Laura
