How To Have More Energy

Uncategorized Apr 08, 2018

As I mentioned in last week’s post, the last eight or nine months have been really wild. The world seems to have shifted gears into a high-voltage, chaotic energy. My sense is that it will be calming down, reestablishing a new baseline.

For now though, I want to share with you three simple steps to help you recapture your energy, in case it has scooted off somewhere. Feel more balanced and then maintain it, so you’ll feel more energized throughout your day.

That way, you can handle the things you have to handle. And maintain vibrant, bright, and happy energy.

Step One: Calm Your Energy

You can’t use your intuition or intellect if your mind and energy systems look or feel like a Jackson Pollock painting.

The fastest, easiest, and most convenient way to calm your energy is by calming your breathing. I know. I know. You know this. But are you doing it?

When you know, but don’t do…do you really know?

Wherever you are, breathing is the primary tool to settle your mind, nervous system, and energy.
Take a few easy, deep breaths in and out of your body. Inhale through the nose. Exhale out through your mouth, slowly. Repeat as many times as needed. You can do this anywhere. At any time.

Step Two: Stabilize Your Energy’s Center of Gravity

Step Two is like playing Where’s Waldo with your energy. Now that you’ve calmed your energy down by breathing, it’s time to stabilize your energetic center of gravity. Use your body’s empathic intuitive abilities to find your body’s “current” center of gravity.

Is it up in your chest in your throat? Is it in your belly? Or is it three feet ahead of your body? Or dragging behind you trying to catch up with your body? Where is it?

Once you’ve located what corner of your body’s universe the bulk of your energy has crammed itself into, take another breath in and drop the energy of the breath down to your belly. Centralize your energy. And by doing so, you begin to stabilize it.

Wherever your energy was holding out, you need to re-center it into the core of your body. If it feels appropriate for you, drop it all the way down into the lower pelvic area for that extra luxurious grounded feeling.

Oftentimes when I’m in session, particularly with really bright and busy people, their energy is up high in the body and energy field. For instance, when I intuitively reposition my consciousness so that I’m looking at them as if I am ten feet away from their body, oftentimes, from that perspective, their energy fields look like an incandescent light bulb. Most of the energy in their body is up between the chest and the top of their head, leaving a vacancy of energy and, more importantly, a vacancy of power in the lower part of their body.

Since our energy systems are designed to function with cohesiveness and balance, it’s important to self-regulate your own energy. You don’t ever have to be hyper-attentive. Nonetheless, you can feel when your energy isn’t in the centralized balance place.

No matter what’s happening around you, you can keep your energy centered, fluid, and balanced throughout your systems with these simple steps.

Step Three: Mindful Energetic Maintenance

In this step, simply pay attention as you continue to move about your day. Did something happen that caused a sensation in your nervous system or spiky energy? Were you speaking with someone and suddenly you found yourself yawning in rapid succession?

That’s the signal that your energy is being offered, in excess, to the other person. When you notice responses like this, use step one — breathing — and step two — stabilizing — to get back to balance.

Step three is all about mindful energetic maintenance. No hyper-vigilance is required. You’ll know what’s happening. Your system is designed with an early warning system. Your task is to not blow by that early warning and rebalance as soon as you can.

You are always in charge of your own energy. You no longer have to, nor can you afford to, be an energetic sacrificial lamb.

Life is uncertain. I don’t know about you, but when I make out a grocery store list, it changes by the time I get to the store. While it’s really helpful to have structure and direction and plans in our lives, life happens with us and to us regardless of our lists, plans, and aspirations.

Fluidity.
Moving with and appreciating what is.
Being self-aware — using your intuition and intelligence side-by-side.

That way you can maintain the one thing that you are in charge of: your own energy, your consciousness in motion.

You are here to be happy. To trust yourself. To take care of yourself, so that you can care for others and offer your talents and gifts to the world.

  • Breathing
  • Stabilizing your energetic center of gravity
  • Mindful energy maintenance

These three simple steps, I trust, will serve you well.
