138 Your Body Is Speaking β€” Learning the Language of Medical Intuition

Uncategorized Apr 01, 2026

Includes a guided breathing practice at the end.

There is a conversation happening inside you right now.

Not metaphorically. Not spiritually in some distant way.
Literally—biologically, emotionally, energetically.

Your body is speaking.

And for most of us, we were never taught how to listen.

In this episode, we begin an inward journey—not into theory, but into direct experience. Into the body as a living, breathing record of your life.

Because your body is not a machine that occasionally fails.

It is an intelligent system—an elegant, responsive field—that records your experiences in real time. Every emotion. Every stressor. Every moment of safety or uncertainty.

And it speaks in a language that is surprisingly simple.

Sensation.
Tension.
Expansion.
Heat.
Stillness.

These are not random experiences. They are information.

When I began this work in the early 1980s, there was no established language for what is now called medical intuition. There were no mainstream conversations about the biofield, no integrative medicine departments, no widespread understanding of the mind-body connection.

What there was—was direct perception.

Over time, what became clear is this:
The body is always communicating. Always adapting. Always trying to bring you back into balance.

Now science is beginning to catch up.

We understand that the body is electromagnetic. That the heart generates a powerful field. That the nervous system responds not just to immediate danger—but to long-term emotional environments. That the gut, fascia, and endocrine system all participate in this vast, interconnected conversation.

And perhaps most importantly—we now understand that chronic stress reshapes the body.

Not as a flaw.
But as an adaptation.

When you live in prolonged stress—whether from relationships, environments, or internal patterns—the body learns. It recalibrates. It adjusts its baseline to what it believes is necessary for survival.

And eventually, that adaptation begins to feel normal.

Even when it isnt supportive.

This is where medical intuition becomes so powerful.

Because instead of overriding the body…
we begin listening to it.

We notice where tension lives—not to fix it, but to understand it.
We observe patterns—not to judge them, but to decode them.
We become curious about what the body is trying to say.

And something remarkable begins to happen.

The body responds to being heard.

Not instantly. Not dramatically.
But steadily.

Because healing is not something you force.
It is something you allow.

A Simple Breathing Practice to Begin Listening

At the beginning of this journey, we dont need complexity.
We need presence.

Take a moment now.

If you can, gently close your eyes.

Let your breath enter your body naturally.
No forcing. No correcting.

Just notice.

Where is your body holding tension?
Not to change it—just to see it.

Now bring your awareness to that area.

And as you inhale, imagine space entering that region.
Not pushing. Not fixing. Just softening.

As you exhale, allow that area to release even one percent.

Stay here for a few breaths.

Listening.

Not with your mind—but with your awareness.

This is the beginning of medical intuition.

Not reading others.
But learning the language of yourself.

Your body is not your obstacle.
It is your guide.

And the more gently you listen…
the more clearly it will speak.
