Stop Searching for WHO You Are

Uncategorized Mar 11, 2018

It’s been pretty busy lately, right? Time crunches. Quick little monkey minds clouding your decision making. And if you’re like me, and most of my clients, transformation seems to be the buzzword in our hearts and souls.

I wanted to share with you a practice for connecting and being kind to yourself in transformational times. The BIG tip is reconnecting with your root. When you connect to the deepest part of yourself, you are more likely to love yourself and your life right where you are. Then, change happens more easily. No matter the speed at which life is moving you along, or holding you in place, change is happening. Inside and out.

Firstly, I believe it’s important to remind yourself “WHAT” you are. We are often searching for “WHO AM I?” Shouting out to the heaven, “Who am I and what do you want me to do?” However, you don’t need to stress about WHO you are. Not when you remember, WHAT you are. The WHO you are to be in this life will naturally follow.

Sit quietly for a few moments, breathe. You know, that thing you do to keep alive and feel calmer. Breathe in and out for a few moments, focusing on the energy of your breath. You don’t need inner fireworks or pleas to the cosmos. Ask to remember “WHAT am I?” See what happens. Pay attention to the images and feelings you receive.

Now, take that information, which should bring you a sensation of connected calmness, and sit in that flow and energy for as long as you like. Jot down some notes. Or record what you’re experiencing on your smartphone. Let the knowing and remembering of “WHAT you are” resettled into your heart.

By harnessing the deepest remembering there is, “WHAT you are”,  you’re now connected to your true and authentic self, perhaps in a way you haven’t been before.

It’s a remembering.

It has nothing to do with being a human being, or waking up and pushing through your archetypes, or searching for the right job title or career choice. Those aspects of life are connected to your WHAT and show up in your life’s journey and lessons. Remembering “WHAT”  you are is a lot easier than you think.

Your “WHAT” is the epicenter. To truly love yourself and your life — it’s joys, hindrances, your spiritual path, and things in your juicy life — you must remember WHAT you are. WHAT you are directs you to WHERE the deepest part of yourself comes from. And, you’re not from around here — meaning earth. You’re visiting here, on your way to somewhere else.

Knowing this. Connecting to this part of you — your root — will help you get through tougher moments. Confusion. Illness. And the BIG transformations in life.

Knowing your WHAT — your origin — allows the who, how, where, when, and shape your life to come forward. It makes life easier. It will heighten your connection to your intuitive faculty from which answers come.

Life choices will be clearer. You’ll have more direction and peace of mind. More importantly, by knowing WHAT you are, you are more in touch, allowing space to love yourself right where you are.

As I always say, “If you were to be somewhere else, you would be.” Knowing WHAT brings forward the NOW. From there you can connect, get answers, and move along your life’s path. Or hold steady right where you are with peace.

Loving what you are, right here, right now.
